I don't know about you guys but I'm terrified with the thought of a pandemic. The swine flu is causing a lot of problems and it may even become impossible for people to travel to work. The best thing to do is to have a plan for any and every situation. It's better to prepare for the worst and never have to come face to face with it. I know that a lot of companies are putting together a Pandemic Preparedness plan to avoid unnecessary panic. I found a site that allows you remote access to your work information. It's not overly expensive and it's user friendly. There is no need for an IT team because the company controls the support and upgrades at no cost to you. Data is kept secure, so you don't need to worry about the wrong person accessing your information. InTouch will allow you to access your work desktop so that you can transfer files and print documents. There is no additional hardware to purchase. It's impossible to predict the future but by preparing for the worst, we can minimize the problem because we are prepared with a solution. I'm already thinking about what I will do if my family is facing any type of disaster.
