Review: Desperate Deeds by Dee Davis

As the demolitions expert for A-Tac, a black-ops CIA unit masquerading as Ivy League faculty, Tyler Hanson has two great loves: literature and explosives. She lives by the motto "Duty First" and doesn't have time for personal attachments . . . until a steamy one-night stand turns into a professional partnership.

BURNED BY BETRAYAL
When Tyler meets Owen Wakefield, a handsome British operative, she seduces him with no intention of ever seeing him again. But then the sexy Brit is brought into A-Tac, and despite Tyler's efforts to keep her distance, she finds herself falling for him. Trusting him.

Owen seems too good to be true - and he is. He's hiding his true motives and identity, and no matter how he feels about Tyler, he can't keep her secrets. One of A-Tac's members has turned traitor and helped terrorists to hijack a shipment of nuclear weapons. As witnesses start dying and evidence starts disappearing, Owen and Tyler must race to find the mole - and prevent a final, cataclysmic act of destruction.

I'm addicted to this series.  Dee's finesse with words and ability to entertain is incomparable.  Desperate Deeds is a fun escape from reality for any romance lover.

Five Fun Facts

1. Dee Davis has been an anglophile for as long as she can remember. And has a particular soft spot for an English accent, especially when accompanied by dark hair and piercing blue eyes. Enter Cornish hero Owen Wakefield from MI-5.
2. Although Dee has never even seen a bomb, she’s always been fascinated with man’s propensity to blow himself up and admires those who work to stop it. Enter our heroine, munitions expert, Tyler Hanson.
3. Dee’s grandfather suffered from Alzheimer’s and watching his deterioration was both difficult and painful. That struggle is reflected in Tyler’s efforts to cope with her father’s battle with the debilitating disease.
4. Some of the world’s greatest art can be found in religious buildings around the world. Enter the fictional St. Anne’s Chapel in lower Manhattan and the equally fictional statue Divine Christ inside the church.
5. Computer expert Harrison Blake first sprang out of Dee’s mind in the first Last Chance book, Endgame, and now by popular demand, he’s back and working with A-Tac. For more information about the worlds created by Dee Davis, check out www.deedavis.com

  14. I read the second book first and now I'm reading the first. I can't wait to read the third. I haven't read a lot of romantic suspense so I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying the series. Kudos Dee Davis!
