Review & Giveaway: 360-Degree Life: Ten Ways You Can Live More Richly, Deeply, Fully

Billy Joe's book gives insight to help readers look at life from every angle as a Christian. The Bible written so long ago that it's sometimes hard to incorporate it into everyday life. Billy Joe has taken the time to put together key parts of the Bible that relate to millions of people everyday. The one thing that is always constant is that God loves you and He has plans for you.

This book will be very useful for some people. It is written in a way that will help both new Christians and people who have been a believer for a long period of time. There were some parts of the book that I thought were a little dry but overall it was a decent read.

Review: The Hypnotist by M.J. Rose

To some deja vu is more than just a coincidence. It is pieces from our past lives that play an important part on the here, the now and the future.

Lucian lost the love of his life a long time ago and blames himself for not being able to save her. He works for the FBI and the current case has him tracking down a thief. Under hypnosis, Lucian reveals some information that he didn't even know he had. Demands are made and one wrong move could destroy everything.

This is one of those books that take you to another level that you didn't even know existed. We've all heard about reincarnation by M.J. is so talented that her story seems like the first one to ever. Definitely 5 stars!

Review: The Lovely Bones on DVD

This movie wasn't one of my favorites but it wasn't horrible either. I felt like some parts dragged on for way too long. It had a great plot though. This is a movie that I watch once and most likely will never watch again.

Review: The 9th Judgment by James Patterson

Lindsey is once again faced with a psychopath killer is not only ruthless, he's smart too. His prey of choice? Women and their child. He gets them when they least expect it. His signature is a cryptic message and Lindsey knows right away that this wasn't just some random act of violence.

On the night of the first mother-child murder, a man and his wife's home is broken into, jewelry is stolen from a safe and the wife has dead. Does this case have anything to do with the murders? How many more people have to die before this puzzle is pieced together?

I'm a huge fan of James Patterson and the Woman's Murder Club. I enjoyed reading this book but I felt like it was a little bland, not as intriguing as most of his books.

Review & Giveaway: Tropical Traditions Organic Natural Soap

I am totally loving the Virgin Coconut Oil products from Tropical Traditions. I received the Organic Natural Soap and it feels really different from other soaps. It's foamy, cleans really well and doesn't dry out your skin. My mom doesn't normally like to try new things. She usually sticks to what she knows but she is so impressed with this soap and other products made from 100% Virgin Coconut Oil that she's trying everything that I get from Tropical Traditions.

Tropical Traditions soaps are made with Organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil as their base, and the scented varieties use only high-quality organic essential oils. There are very few soaps made from 100% coconut oil, and most soaps on the market today that are made from coconut oil are made from highly refined versions of these oils, and may contain chemical solvents that were used in the refining process. Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil is traditionally made from fresh organic coconuts, and indepen…

Review & Giveaway: Forbidden Passion by Rita Herron

Devious crimes are present anywhere and everywhere. Dr. Marlena knows this fact better than most because her she lost her family to murder. In an attempt to wrap her mind around the thought patterns of violent people, she tries to understand the reason behind the act.

Dante, the Sheriff, is far from the savior she thinks he is. Will he be able to protect her as he did before or will the truth come out and destroy them both?

Forbidden Passion is one of those books that reminds me why I love a good romance. The chemistry is there and you can feel it through the pages. This is why Rita is on my favorite authors list.

1. One of my favorite memories as a child was camping in the Tennessee mountains. The sharp ridges and isolated forests were beautiful and filled with hidden mysteries. Once a grizzly…

Samantha hasn't had an easy life. Actually, that is an understatement. Samantha lost both of her parents at the hands of a murder and she nearly shared their fate. How did she survive while her parents did not? A spirit helped her escape and now the spirit is working through Samantha to help others in similar situations. Everything is going well until she has to help a military team who do not want a beautiful woman distracting their rescue tactics and saving a scientist in Afghanistan. Can Sam keep her eye on her mission or will she succumb to the desires of a lieutenant?

I believe in spirit guides which was the main reason that I wanted to read this book. There have been way too many powerful occurrences in my life and I know that I couldn't have made it out alone. Also, my husband served in Afghanistan (and I know that angels must have been looking over him) so I enjoyed reading a book that struck close to home. Robin was able to grasp a woman's emotion, when …

House of Night Series by P.C. & Kristin Cast

I am a self-declared readaholic.  I enjoy books of any genre but my absolute favorite are the ones that include vampires and such. That's why this book is on my want list.

P.C. and Kristin Cast are a mother-daughter team who are responsible for the House Of Night series.  The New York Times bestselling series is receiving a lot of attention.  It should be since the series has over 3 million copies of printed books and an interactive website.

The seventh book, 'Burned' was released yesterday.  Here is the synopsis:

"Things have turned black at the House of Night. Zoey Redbird’s soul has shattered. With everything she’s ever stood for falling apart, and a broken heart making her want to stay in the Otherworld forever, Zoey’s fading fast. It’s seeming more and more doubtful that she will be able pull herself back together in time to rejoin her friends and set the world to rights. As the only living person who can reach her, Stark must find a way to get to her. But how? …

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Woodstream. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am an animal lover through and through.  I would never intentionally do anything to harm an animal unless it was in self defense, to defend my family, including my dogs.  I never liked the idea of animal traps until I found out that there was a brand that cared about the wild animals as much as I do.  I don't want raccoons in my garbage cans or possums hanging around to fight one of my dogs.  Havahart really does have a heart.  Their Havahart Easy Set Large Animal Trap and
Havahart Easy Set Small Animal Trap allows you to send the animal back out into the wild without harming them.  National Home Gardening Club gave these products an 8.5 out of 10 rating.  The traps are easy to use and only require one move to set the trap.  They are rust-resistant which is a nice feature.  I haven't tried to trap an animal in the past, so the whole idea was a little overwhelming.  I definitely prefer…

Author Guest Post: Robin Leigh Miller

Step into My World
Kick butt women plowing through life, mowing down anyone in their way and taking no prisoner’s, that’s who you’ll read about in my stories. Hi, I’m Robin Leigh Miller and I write fictional paranormal romance, contemporary romance, thriller romance and soon – hopefully – horror romance. I’m an adrenaline junkie. Sounds like I’m standing in front of an addiction group admitting my faults, doesn’t it? Good. If loving to read and write is a fault I’ll live with it and please, no attempts to cure me.

I love to read, understatement of the century. I wasn’t a big reader as a child but if I found a book that caught my interest there was no pulling me away until I read “The End.” Mostly I read mysteries. Trying to figure out who done it was my greatest joy. Life, however, dictated when I read and unfortunately that wasn’t very often. Warp speed to about nine or so years ago and my mother gave me a box of books she’d gathered from her shelves. I looked them over, b…

Interview With Author U.L. Harper: The Flesh Statue

When did you know that you wanted to be a writer?

I’ll keep my answer succinct. I was something like twelve and I was writing one page stories. I simply couldn’t write any longer than that. I’ve been writing with a writer’s mind ever since.

Who has been your biggest inspiration?

It depends on how old I was. Right now I’m all about Cormac Mccarthy. One reason is because I love how he doesn’t use quotation marks and he’s horribly honest when he writes. People don’t write honest anymore.

How do you create the characters in your books?  Are they based on people you know?

Yes, I take from real life. It’s how I get cadence in voices and distinction in body language. I don’t take entire people because people, a lot of them, really aren’t that interesting. You have to kind of piece them together. It works out though. The parts that I make up obviously comes from me. When I have to create a certain type of person I simply rely on stereotypes. As much as people like to say that they do…

Giveaway: The Host by Stephenie Meyer

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. Featuring one of the most unusual love triangles in literature, THE HOST is a riveting and unforgettable novel about the persistence of love and the essence of what it means to be human.

THE HOST debuted at #1 on The New York Times hardcover fiction bestseller list and remained there for more than a year. Meyer’s first adult novel was not only a huge commercial success with more than 2 million copies sold, it also broug…
